I haven't updated Miles blog for so long (sorry)...mainly because I just haven't been taking many pictures lately. I hope to get on the ball and have some pics to post soon.
Miles is doing well, he is so much fun! He really is my little buddy and I love it. Especially when Lamar goes out of town...it's so nice to have him here with me. Lamar is in California for the weekend on Marine Corps business. We are gearing up for his big trip to Morocco in May.
Miles is really getting a good vocabulary. It is so fun to hear him speak in full sentences. He still loves trains and he is into Star Wars lately thanks to Daddy. They are good little buddies, too. It is fun to see Miles grow and become more independent. He can brush his teeth all by himself now, and we are working on potty training.
Miles is enjoying his school that he goes to for a few hours 3 times a week. Last Friday was picture day (how cute!) So at least I'll have those pictures to share in a little while.
I am looking forward to the semester being over in a month. It has been great and I love it, but I am ready for a little break. I do think Miles will miss going to his school, I'm going to have to think of something to keep him busy...maybe swim lessons or something.
Lamar is doing well, and is in Cali as I mentioned. He was able to spend some time with a couple of his buddies last night and they went to one of his favorite teriyaki places in So Cal. He has been traveling a lot lately, but we are handling it ok.
The big news for our family is that we are expecting another little boy this August! We are beyond thrilled and Miles seems to be understanding the concept of "little brother". If he is asked where little brother is, he points to my tummy. I can't wait for the great little friends that Miles and this new baby will be. I'm going to be a bit outnumbered with 3 boys, but I know that they will all take good care of me. I just love the thought of Lamar playing with his two little boys!
Stay tuned for pictures...

Big Airplane
Lamar has been in Morocco for about 6 days and he will be home in a few more. I think these pictures are funny. Miles was being so sweet and helping his daddy pack. He put on his daddy's cover (hat) and went and found his camo rain boots and put them on all by himself. Miles doesn't look too happy in these pictures because he didn't want me to take his picture. Every time Miles is asked where his daddy is, he says "big airplane".
We love and miss our dear daddy/hubby and we sure are proud of him!

Sledding With Daddy

Miles had SO MUCH FUN last Saturday when Lamar took him sledding. I was really nervous at first and kept telling Lamar over and over how careful to be. Turns out the little sled he was using was very sturdy and just perfect for him!! It was so cute to see him zoom down the hill with a huge smile on his face!

Christmas
Miles had a lot of fun this Christmas season. He started to understand Santa Claus and he would walk around as say "Merry Christmas!"
This is Miles on Christmas morning walking over to see his presents. He was so cute, after he unwrapped one gift, he just wanted to play with it instead of opening the rest of his gifts. We had to kind of push him along. He loved everything he opened.

The following pictures were taken on Christmas Eve. We thought we'd let Miles open a couple gifts.

A big thank you to those who sent presents for Miles. He loved everything and is having so much fun with his new stuff. Lamar and I are very grateful for our friends and family this holiday season.

Choo Choo Train

Miles is really...I mean REALLY into trains right now. One of his favorite shows is "Choo Choo Soul" on the Disney channel. He always asks to watch it. He also loves "The Polar Express", which started at his Grandparent's Breshears house over Thanksgiving. Luckily it was on TV one day and I recorded it...because he asks to watch it all the time.
My grandparents gave Miles a train set to play with. He was in 7th heaven...for a while. The train didn't last too long (not being made for rough and tumble 2 year olds) but he had a lot of fun while it worked. We told him that we needed to get a new train, so he keeps saying "new train mommy?"
I think Miles just might be in luck because I heard that Santa may have something up his sleeve. A replacement train perhaps?
