Quick Update

I'm at school right now with a little bit of spare time, so I thought I'd post a little update. Miles is as fun as ever! Lamar and I are just so in love with that kid! I had been taking him with me to school for a couple hours on Tues. and Thurs. nights. They have a "lab school" right on campus. The lab school is used for students who are pursuing education or child development degrees. They also have full time teachers there. So taking Miles there has worked out really well. We were able to get him into the day program, so that means I now take him with me when I come to school on MWF. He LOVES going to school and seeing his teachers and playing with his friends.

Lamar is doing well. It seems like he is always busy with his job, the Marines, the HOA, or the Young Men he teaches in church. Although our lives are really busy at this point, we are really happy and know that our hard work will pay off someday!!

We have a very exciting weekend coming up. Our niece Analesia has decided to be baptized. She turns 9 on October 22, and wanted to be baptized before then, so Sunday is her big day! She asked me to speak and I was really honored. And she asked Lamar to baptize her! It was so sweet and Lamar is so excited. So we are really looking forward to that.

I will try and get some pics posted soon!!

Just Like Daddy

The other night after bath time, Miles noticed that Lamar had his towel wrapped around his waist. Miles didn't want to be wrapped all up in his towel, he wanted to wear his towel just like Daddy. It was pretty cute!

California!

We just returned from a long weekend in California. It was absolutely gorgeous and a much needed break. It was also so fun for Lamar and I to go back to the place where we first met. We both love Cali so much, maybe someday we will be able to retire there or something. Miles was such a great little traveler, and he absolutely LOVED the ocean. He would stand on the shore and wait for the waves to come, and as they rolled up he would excitedly say "here they come!". Lamar and Miles both had so much fun playing in the water. Lamar helped Miles to ride a boogie board, it was so cute. I think Miles will love being in the ocean just as much as his Daddy!

Ridin' the waves

I think Miles is a natural!

Disneyland

While we were in California, we were able to spend a day in Disneyland. It was a lot of fun. Miles got to meet Goofy and Mary Poppins. His favorite thing was driving the little cars with Lamar as his passenger. Lamar said he was smiling and giggling the whole time.

A few pictures...

This is Miles' making his "naughty face", where he's done something he knows he shouldn't, and is waiting for a reaction. Pretty cute, I have to admit.

State Fair

We went to the State Fair last weekend and Miles loved to see all the animals, especially these little ponies. He kept trying to reach around and pat the pony as he was riding.
